{"id":2057,"date":"2012-07-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-07-26T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvlatina\/2012\/07\/26\/comedy-central-set-for-chilean-launch\/"},"modified":"2012-07-26T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2012-07-26T00:00:00","slug":"comedy-central-set-for-chilean-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvlatina\/comedy-central-set-for-chilean-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Comedy Central Set for Chilean Launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">MIAMI\/SANTIAGO: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has clinched a deal to launch Comedy Central Latin America on VTR in Chile.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">The channel, first introduced to the region a few months ago, will premiere on the Chilean cable operator tomorrow, delivering imports such as <em>Mr. Sunshine<\/em>, <em>Married With Children<\/em> and <em>The Sarah Silverman Show<\/em>, as  well local original productions like<em> The&nbsp;Spooky&nbsp;Show, <\/em>stand-up specials and comedy features.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Paula Guerra, the CEO of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) The Americas South, commented, &ldquo;There is no other channel with the power to make people laugh the way Comedy Central does and we are confident that Chile&rsquo;s audience will not be an exception.&rdquo;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Javier Villanueva, the manager of content and television development at VTR, added, &ldquo;We are constantly looking for new channels and we&rsquo;re certain that Comedy Central is the right choice.
