He will also be tasked with expanding the network&rsquo;s portfolio and managing the programming team in Mexico City, Miami and Sao Paulo.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\"> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Williams, who starts his new position at the end of the month, will work in the Miami-based office under Angel Peche, the department&rsquo;s acting general manager. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\"> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">David Weiland, BBC Worldwide&rsquo;s senior VP of programming and TV channels, said, &ldquo;Gareth has a perfect CV for this role. He has a deep knowledge of the BBC&rsquo;s output as well as other British programming, coupled with an extensive network of contacts throughout the BBC and BBC Worldwide.
