NEW YORK: Discovery U.S. Hispanic has unveiled the new and returning shows headed to Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia for 2012-13. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Discovery en Español has slated the doc North America<\/em>, which uses the latest ultra-slow-motion, time-lapse and macro-photography to look at the continent. Earth Flight <\/em>follows birds on a journey that explores the physical wonders of our world. A second season is coming for 2111<\/em>, which looks at what the future might hold for Latin America in the year 2111. Batalla de Ingenios<\/em>, the network’s first-ever original game show, is an engineering competition in which the winner gets a year off of work to do whatever they please. Hard Kicks <\/em>is an hour-long series that takes viewers into the world of soccer. Rhino Wars <\/em>focuses on a group of private game reserves that are banding together to take down poachers. Top Hooker<\/em> is a competition series for fisherman. Also on the slate are I Married a Mobster<\/em>, about the women who live in the world of organized crime; Vivir para Contarlo<\/em>, about people who have overcome extreme conditions; and Scorned: Love Kills<\/em>, chronicling stories of betrayal, deception and sexual intrigue. Returning series include Gold Rush<\/em> and River Monsters<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Over on Discovery Familia, the Discovery Kids’ programming block that runs from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. will feature second seasons of Fishtronaut<\/em> and My Big Big Friend<\/em>. In prime time, from 9 p.m. to midnight, the channel has lined up 10 Years Younger<\/em>, an original makeover program; the return of Eat Yourself Sexy<\/em>, starring nutritionist Gillian McKeith; Mystery Diagnosis<\/em>, about real-life medical mysteries; and The Locator<\/em>, in which Troy Dunn puts his investigative skills to work. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
