MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE) has inked deals with TVE and Turner International that will see the video-game-themed show Marcus Level airing in Spain and Latin America, respectively.

Marcus Level is slated to launch on Clan TV in Spain and on the Boomerang channel and services in Latin America. There will also be an online game featuring four worlds and 20 levels. The 52×13-minute animated series follows the adventures of an unlikely superhero, who suddenly finds himself thrown into his favorite video game. It is meant for 6- to 12-year-old viewers.

Fred Burcksen, the executive VP and COO of ZDF Enterprises, commented: "This unique video-game-themed series uses all the references kids know from their favorite video games, and transposes them into the animated world in a very clever way. Clues are given throughout the series which help kids complete levels of the game, ensuring a perfect complementarity between the linear and interactive components of the property."
