Xilam Animation Acquires Majority Stake in Cube Creative

Xilam Animation has finalized its acquisition of 50.1 percent of the capital and voting rights in the French production company Cube Creative.

Cube Creative specializes in CGI and 3D animation, producing films across a wide range of formats, including animated shorts, music videos, advertising spots, large-format films, series and features. Its client roster features such brands as Cartier, LU, Kellogg’s and Skoll in addition to amusement parks and French television networks. Among the proprietary productions that Cube Creative has developed are the Athleticus series (Arte), Kaeloo (Canal+, Teletoon+, C8), Tangranimo (France Télévisions) and Pfffirates (TF1).

Xilam’s majority-stake acquisition allows the company to continue to accelerate its delivery of animation programming and to expand further in the medium-term. The founding executives of Cube Creative will hold 49.9 percent of the company’s equity following the transaction and remain fully operational, benefiting from the strength of Xilam’s sales in France and abroad, relationships with major digital platforms, digitalization know-how, resources and editorial expertise.
