MADRID: Mondo TV Spain has teamed up with Argentina’s Alianzas Producciones for the co-production of Heidi, Welcome Home<\/em>, a teen show based on the classic children’s novel Heidi<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Heidi, Welcome Home<\/em> sees Marcela Citterio (Patito Feo<\/em>, Chica Vampiro<\/em>, Yo Soy Franky<\/em>) reimagine the iconic kids’ book penned by Johanna Spyri in 1880. The series will look on as the titular character\u00a0moves from the\u00a0mountains to the big city, where she makes new friends and discovers her musical talent. The 60×45-minute show,\u00a0produced by Javier Francia, is currently in pre-production for a November 2016 release.<\/p>\n

In other news, Mondo TV has inked a co-pro deal with Jeem TV and Baraem TV for the production of the first season of\u00a0Sissi, The Young Empress<\/em>. Jeem and Baraem have acquired the exploitation rights for the series\u00a0in the Arabic language and will handle its distribution in the Arab region.<\/p>\n

Matteo Corradi, the managing director of Mondo TV, stated: “We are really happy our Young Empress<\/em> has raised the active cooperation of Jeem and Baraem channels.
