{"id":9898,"date":"2016-04-12T12:00:10","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T16:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2016-04-12T12:05:21","modified_gmt":"2016-04-12T16:05:21","slug":"joe-dambrosia-moves-up-at-disney-junior","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/joe-dambrosia-moves-up-at-disney-junior\/","title":{"rendered":"Joe D&#8217;Ambrosia Moves Up at Disney Junior"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BURBANK: Joe D&#8217;Ambrosia has been elevated to senior VP of original programming at Disney Junior.<\/p>\n<p>In his new role, D&#8217;Ambrosia will continue to manage the production and creative development of such Disney Junior properties as <em>Doc McStuffins<\/em>, <em>Sofia the First<\/em>, <em>Mickey Mouse Clubhouse<\/em>, <em>Goldie &amp; Bear<\/em>, <em>Sheriff Callie&#8217;s Wild West<\/em> and <em>Minnie&#8217;s Bow-Toons<\/em>. He also has oversight of the upcoming series <em>Elena of Avalor<\/em>, <em>Mickey and the Roadster Racers<\/em> and <em>Vampirina<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;Ambrosia reports to Nancy Kanter, the executive VP of original programming and general manager of Disney Junior Worldwide, who commented: &#8220;Joe is an incredibly talented executive who brings his A-game to the table each and every day. In his new role he will continue to manage our creative output leading us in new, exciting directions and will work with me on ways to deliver the best in kids&#8217; TV to the broadest audience possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Disney Channel in 2011, D&#8217;Ambrosia produced and developed kids&#8217; television programming and family movies at Murray Hill 5 Productions, which he co-founded. Among his credits are <em>Astro Boy<\/em> and <em>Golden Bridges<\/em>. Earlier, D&#8217;Ambrosia helped launch Sony Pictures Family Entertainment.
