{"id":9640,"date":"2016-03-07T09:24:38","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T14:24:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/ben-hollys-little-explorer-challenge-fundraiser-launches-in-u-k\/"},"modified":"2016-03-07T14:54:53","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T19:54:53","slug":"ben-hollys-little-explorer-challenge-fundraiser-launches-in-u-k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/ben-hollys-little-explorer-challenge-fundraiser-launches-in-u-k\/","title":{"rendered":"Ben &amp; Holly-Themed Cancer Fundraiser Launches in U.K."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LONDON: Entertainment One (eOne) is partnering with Cancer Research UK Kids &amp; Teens to roll out a\u00a0<em>Ben &amp; Holly\u2019s Little Kingdom<\/em>-themed fundraising campaign in the U.K.<\/p>\n<p>Nurseries, preschools and primary schools across the U.K. can sign up for Ben &amp; Holly\u2019s Little Explorer Challenge to raise money that will help fund research into improved\u00a0treatments and cures for children\u2019s cancers. eOne will support the initiative across its digital and social channels, including the brand\u2019s Facebook page. The campaign will run this year from April to July.<\/p>\n<p>All participants will receive a free Ben &amp; Holly\u2019s Little Explorer-branded pack of fundraising challenges, including a Little Kingdom Treasure Hunt, Gaston\u2019s Games, Magical Dress Up and an Elf and Fairy party. The pack will also include ideas and materials to help make organizing and fundraising simple. Certificates for completing the challenges are part of the package as well. Cancer Research UK Kids &amp; Teens seeks to raise money for research into cancers affecting children, teens and young adults.<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca Harvey, the head of marketing at Entertainment One Family, said, \u201cWe\u2019re delighted that <em>Ben &amp; Holly\u2019s Little Kingdom<\/em> will inspire children to help fundraise for Cancer Research [UK] Kids &amp; Teens. We have worked closely with the charity to produce an activity pack that\u2019s full of great ideas that will encourage children to explore the outdoors, get creative and most importantly raise valuable funds for this worthy cause.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Claire Rowney, the director of Cancer Research UK Kids &amp; Teens, commented: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be partnering with <em>Ben &amp; Holly\u2019s Little Kingdom<\/em>, and are excited to launch the Little Explorer Challenge. Back in the 1970s, more than a third of children with cancer survived their disease beyond ten years. Today, that is around three quarters and our work has been at the heart of this. But we can\u2019t stop there\u2014our ambition is to double the amount we spend on children\u2019s cancer research over the next five to ten years to help save more lives. <em>Ben &amp; Holly\u2019s<\/em> support will help us carry out more research to help find better and kinder treatments for children with cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LONDON: Entertainment One (eOne) is partnering with Cancer Research UK Kids &amp;
