Factory and Studio 100 Media have expanded their distribution pact with a new multi-picture deal for the upcoming series of <em>Maya the Bee<\/em> feature films.<\/p>\n<p>Under the terms of the deal, Shout! Factory has locked down exclusive North American distribution rights to the <em>Maya the Bee<\/em> movie sequels, including theatrical, VOD, digital, broadcast and home entertainment for cross-platform releases. Shout! Factory is planning a strategic rollout of the new films, starting with the first sequel, <em>Maya the Bee 2: The Honey Games<\/em> in 2017 through its kids\u2019 and family entertainment imprint Shout! Factory Kids.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Elmendorff, the CEO of Studio 100 Media, said: \u201cWe are delighted to add this new chapter to <em>Maya the Bee<\/em>\u2019s success story. We gladly renew our successful collaboration with our previous partner Shout! Factory for the next movies and hope that Maya\u2019s brand-new adventures will entertain children and families in North America just like the first movie already did and still does.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Maya the Bee<\/em> is not just a growing brand, it\u2019s an extremely appealing feature film,\u201d added Jordan Fields, the VP of acquisitions at Shout! Factory. \u201cWe know the further adventures of Maya will nail that same winning combination of excitement, humor and sweetness achieved by the first film, and we\u2019re eager to help bring them to fans of all ages.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly excited and honored that Studio 100 has chosen to partner with Shout!
