TORONTO: Distribution360 (D360) has licensed more than 260 episodes to broadcasters and digital platforms in North America, including selling YaYa & Zouk<\/em> to NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment’s Sprout in the U.S.<\/p>\n

YaYa & Zouk<\/em> follows the comedic\u00a0adventures of a sister and brother as they explore real and imaginary worlds through creative play. The 78×5-minute preschool show, which comes from the creators of Toopy and Binoo<\/em>, is made by ToonDraw Productions in association with Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Radio-Canada and YOOPA. It is due to debut on Sprout early this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cYaYa & Zouk<\/em> is a whimsical series taking kids on a host of imaginary adventures,\u201d said Kirsten Hurd, D360’s director of international sales and acquisitions. \u201cWe are thrilled the show will be enjoyed by U.S. audiences on Sprout and hope this is the first of many international homes for the program.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSprout is delighted to bring YaYa & Zouk<\/em> to U.S. audiences,\u201d added Lisa O\u2019Brien, the VP of programming at Sprout. \u201cThe endearing sibling relationship combined with the modern aesthetic \ufffcof the show is sure to be a hit with our viewers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, BBC Kids Canada went for the second season of The New Adventures of Figaro Pho<\/em>, which is produced by Chocolate Liberation Front. The new SVOD service Curious World snapped up the rights for Victory Arts’s Alphabet Stories<\/em> and YOUniverse<\/em>.
