Gets U.S. Licensing Agent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HOLLYWOOD: Wind Dancer Films has tapped Licensing Street as the U.S. licensing and retail development agent for <em>Ready Jet Go!<\/em>, its new space exploration-themed animated series.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Ready Jet Go!<\/em> consumer products program is slated to launch with licensed toys, publishing and apparel that will roll out at retail nationwide next year. The series, which has a focus on astronomy, technology, scientific exploration, innovation and invention, was created by Craig Bartlett (<em>Hey Arnold!<\/em>, <em>Dinosaur Train<\/em>). It will debut on PBS Kids on February 15.<\/p>\n<p>The show follows Jet Propulsion, a new kid in town who is an alien, and with his Earth friends Sean and Sydney. Together, they set out on astronomical adventures exploring the solar system and how it affects Earth, learning about friendship and teamwork along the way. It features live-action interstitials with Jet Propulsion Laboratory astronomer Dr. Amy Mainzer, who also serves as a science curriculum consultant for the series. In advance of the show\u2019s TV launch, 12 full-length segments from <em>Ready Jet Go!<\/em> are now available for streaming across multiple platforms, marking the most full-length video content PBS Kids has ever released in advance of a broadcast premiere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted about the launch of <em>Ready Jet Go!<\/em> on PBS Kids and excited to be working closely with the talented team at Licensing Street to expand on the best aspects of the show with products that will keep the fun and learning going for young fans far beyond the screen,\u201d said Dete Meserve, executive producer on the series and principal of Wind Dancer Films. \u201cThrough both the series and upcoming products, our aim is to get viewers to engage in science in ways that spark their natural curiosity, broaden their horizons and deepen their connection to the universe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to partner with Wind Dancer to develop a comprehensive and far-reaching licensing and retail program for <em>Ready Jet Go!<\/em>,\u201d said JJ Ahearn, the managing director of Licensing Street. \u201cOur goal is to grow this standout brand through products and partnerships that meaningfully connect children to the scientific concepts presented in the show, getting them excited about playing, and learning, along with Jet and his friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Ready Jet Go!<\/em> is produced by Wind Dancer Films with the company\u2019s Dete Meserve and founders Matt Williams and David McFadzean serving as executive producers.
