SHANGHAI\/NEW YORK: CCTV Children’s Channel and Sesame Workshop China are once again partnering\u00a0on a Chinese New Year special that is\u00a0slated for broadcast this month.<\/p>\n
Sesame Street<\/em>‘s Big Bird, Elmo and Cookie Monster joined Children’s Channel hosts Ju Ping, Xiao Lu, Huang Wei, Du Yue and Jin Dou at the Spring Festival celebrations in Singapore. There are five segments that comprise\u00a0CCTV’s hour-long special Let’s Celebrate Chinese New Year<\/em>, which is slated to begin airing tomorrow at 6 p.m., with rebroadcasts throughout the month. Sesame Workshop and CCTV are also launching a joint promotional campaign on social media platforms before and during the broadcasts.<\/p>\n This marks the third year that Sesame Workshop has worked with CCTV Children’s Channel to co-produce its Chinese New Year special.\u00a0Local production was\u00a0handled by MyChinaChannel, which will also syndicate a special version of the program on a number of broadcasters throughout Southeast Asia.
