{"id":9024,"date":"2015-11-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/disney-xd-disney-junior-to-roll-out-in-canada-next-month\/"},"modified":"2015-11-09T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-11-09T00:00:00","slug":"disney-xd-disney-junior-to-roll-out-in-canada-next-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/disney-xd-disney-junior-to-roll-out-in-canada-next-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Disney XD &amp; Disney Junior to Roll Out in Canada Next Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tTORONTO: Disney XD is set to launch in Canada on December 1, as is Disney Junior, making Corus Entertainment the official home of all Disney networks in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tTo mark the Canadian launch of Disney XD, the channel will air a <em>Star Wars Rebels<\/em> season two marathon that will lead into the exclusive premiere episode titled &ldquo;Wings of the Master.&rdquo; The Disney XD lineup will also feature new episodes of <em>Lab Rats<\/em>, <em>Kirby Buckets <\/em>and <em>Gamer&rsquo;s Guide to Pretty Much Everything<\/em>, in addition to the animated series <em>Gravity Falls<\/em> and <em>Marvel&rsquo;s Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em>. Disney XD programming that currently airs on Corus&rsquo; Disney Channel will continue to be scheduled there until November 29. Then, on December 1, that programming will move exclusively to Disney XD.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe week Disney Junior launches, the channel will feature the network premiere of the one-hour original animated movie&nbsp;<em>The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar<\/em>. In addition, the animated series <em>Goldie &amp; Bear<\/em> will make its network debut on Disney Junior, which will also air new episodes and holiday programming of series such as <em>Doc McStuffins<\/em>, <em>Mickey Mouse Clubhouse<\/em>, <em>Miles from Tomorrowland<\/em>, <em>Sofia the First <\/em>and more.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&quot;We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Disney by becoming the exclusive home in Canada for Disney XD, along with Disney Channel and Disney Junior,&quot; said Colin Bohm, the executive VP and head of Corus Kids. &quot;With a stellar roster of hit series, including <em>Star Wars Rebels<\/em>, <em>Marvel&rsquo;s Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em> and <em>Gravity Falls<\/em>, Disney XD offers kids hilarious programming that is full of action-packed entertainment.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHe continues: &quot;As leaders in understanding the value and importance of kids&rsquo; content, we are excited to bring Disney Junior to our audiences.
