Schulz&#039;s&nbsp;classic <em>Peanuts <\/em>comic&nbsp;strip premiere on Boomerang in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe 500 shorts will debut with promotional crossover on Cartoon Network and the Cartoon Network app. The launch of the shorts, which feature iconic characters such as Charlie Brown and his beagle Snoopy, is timed with the big-screen release of <em>The Peanuts Movie<\/em> this fall.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFrench studio Normaal produced the shorts for France T&eacute;l&eacute;visions, along with Peanuts Worldwide. They are distributed globally by francetv distribution and currently air on networks in more than 20 territories, including France 3, Discovery LatAm and Disney Korea.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&ldquo;Having Boomerang as the everyday TV home of <em>Peanuts<\/em> for the U.S. is an important piece of our kids-focused content strategy,&rdquo; said Leigh Anne Brodsky, the managing director of Peanuts Worldwide and Iconix Entertainment. &ldquo;Today&rsquo;s kids will be able to get their daily dose of <em>Peanuts<\/em> from the leader in kids&rsquo; entertainment.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&ldquo;We are delighted by this great deal with Turner,&rdquo; commented La&euml;titia Recayte, the CEO of francetv distribution. &ldquo;francetv distribution reinforces its leading position in international sales of animation programs.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&ldquo;We are thrilled to sign our first deal with Turner Broadcasting and hyper proud to sustain French animation success worldwide,&rdquo; said Nathalie Bobineau, the executive senior VP of distribution at francetv distribution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PARIS: A deal between francetv distribution and Turner Broadcasting will see shorts based on Charles M.
