Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!, the first-ever Bluey<\/em> roller-coaster, is set to open in CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort in the U.K. on March 28.<\/p>\n

\u201cBluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies! is all about celebrating energy, play and those everyday moments families love about the show,\u201d said Howard Ebison, VP of Alton Towers Resort. The opening date was unveiled alongside a giant portrait of Bluey made from over 11,000 cans of beans on the resort\u2019s lawn.<\/p>\n

The portrait features Bluey<\/em> in her granny disguise. It is inspired by the \u201cGrannies\u201d episode f the series, in which Bluey and Bingo dress up as mischievous grannies with a habit of slipping on beans.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u2018Grannies\u2019 episode is a firm favorite with our guests, so creating a giant Bluey made from more than 11,000 bean cans felt like the perfect way to mark the countdown to opening day,\u201d Ebison said. \u201cIt\u2019s playful, unexpected and unmistakably Bluey\u2014and we can\u2019t wait to welcome families from March 28 to experience the world\u2019s first Bluey coaster right here at Alton Towers Resort.\u201d<\/p>\n

Natasha Spence, events director for live entertainment at BBC Studios, added, \u201c\u2018Grannies\u2019 is an iconic episode of Bluey<\/em>. We also know that fans associate beans with Bluey and Bingo dressing up as Janet and Rita. Seeing this fantastic on-screen detail brought to life in such an imaginative way truly celebrates the countdown to the opening of Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies! at CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are delighted to be working with the team at Alton Towers to create the world’s first Bluey<\/em> coaster for families across the U.K. to enjoy this spring,\u201d she continued. \u201cBluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies! is specifically designed for preschoolers and young families, who are taken on a journey through Bluey\u2019s Backyard.\u201d<\/p>\n
