After discussions between 52 experts from 15 European countries during ANIMAR 2025, Animation in Europe has proposed several revisions to the AVMS Directive, including raising European quotas applying to streamers to 50 percent.<\/p>\n

Along with raising the streamer quota, Animation in Europe recommends having 10 percent dedicated to independent producers. The group also proposes more transparency on audience data and algorithms, including video-sharing platforms in the definition of \u201caudiovisual media services\u201d and working to ensure the prominence of European programs on streamers and of European media services on connected TV and internet providers.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Animation in Europe recommends keeping independent production at the heart of the new AgoraEU Program, earmarking for audiovisual production to ensure its financial visibility, maintaining existing schemes to build on the Media Program\u2019s successes and securing specific support for kids\u2019 content.<\/p>\n
