Australia\u2019s ABC has appointed Beyond Entertainment alum Melinda Wearne as head of children\u2019s and family.<\/p>\n

Wearne joins from Beyond Entertainment, where she most recently served as head of scripted and led development across drama, children\u2019s and family content. Her credits include developing, producing and executive producing The Family Next Door<\/em>. Across her career, she has held senior creative and production roles, including development executive on Troppo<\/em>, producer on Motown Magic<\/em> and Monster Beach<\/em> and associate producer on Beat Bugs<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to welcome Melinda to the Screen team as the head of children\u2019s and family,\u201d said Jennifer Collins, director of Screen at ABC. \u201cMelinda is an exceptional, creative leader with a proven track record in delivering outstanding content for Australian and international audiences.
