\u201cAt MIPCOM, we presented MoMonsters: The Movie<\/em>, based on the series of the same name that has been sold in more than 70 countries,\u201d says Bego\u00f1a Esteban, Pink Parrot\u2019s head of international TV sales and acquisitions. \u201cIt features the same characters, but this time they are no longer in school. The movie takes place in the summer, so they are at a summer camp. And the producers are currently working on a second film\u2014a Christmas story that will be ready for Christmas 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n Esteban also showcased\u00a0Go Fish+<\/em>, a 26×11-minute animated series. Just like the film it is based on, the series is eco-friendly and educational. The strange and awe-inspiring sights the characters encounter in the ocean are all based on real-life treasures from the deep.<\/p>\n Another title Esteban is presenting to buyers is\u00a0My Brother the Monster<\/em>, also 26×11 minutes. It\u2019s about diversity, kids\u2019 empowerment and social acceptance. The series features Mombou, an adorable, anxious little furball who turns out to be an alien that arrives on Earth\u2014specifically at Violeta\u2019s house, where she adopts him as her brother\u2014and he has to learn everything from scratch. When he feels overwhelmed or bored, he shrinks in size, but when he is calm or happy, he grows into the most tender giant in the world. \u201cThe series is full of adventure and comedy, but it also conveys a message and includes values that we believe should be passed on to children,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n Esteban also mentions\u00a0Louis the Piglet<\/em>, a series with two seasons of 13×13-minute episodes that weaves messages into the storyline that can be helpful to young ones as they navigate growing up. The show is about a piglet who is bullied by his cousin, Bruno. But Louis realizes he needs to be brave and show self-confidence so he can stop Bruno\u2019s nastiness. \u201cKids in schools are suffering from bullying; it\u2019s a real problem,\u201d explains Esteban, who says Pink Parrot believes it is timely to address this issue in the context of a show that is still entertaining. \u201cThe show doesn\u2019t have to be boring; it can be funny.\u201d<\/p>\n Esteban is responsible for acquisitions in addition to sales. \u201cWe are always looking for titles with something special,\u201d she says. \u201cWe are a boutique; we are not a big company, so we don\u2019t want to have hundreds of titles.
