{"id":30737,"date":"2025-10-23T10:00:36","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T14:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T10:01:01","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T14:01:01","slug":"bbc-studios-teams-with-halfbrick-for-new-bluey-video-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/bbc-studios-teams-with-halfbrick-for-new-bluey-video-game\/","title":{"rendered":"BBC Studios Teams with Halfbrick for New Bluey Video Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BBC Studios and <em>Bluey<\/em> creator Joe Brumm have partnered with Halfbrick Studios for the original story-led adventure game <em>Bluey\u2019s Quest for the Gold Pen<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring an all-new story by Brumm and inspired by the hand-drawn worlds of the \u201cDragon\u201d and \u201cEscape\u201d episodes, the game begins when Bluey and her family are transported into one of her drawings. Across nine levels, they go on a quest to retrieve the Gold Pen, which will allow Bluey to complete her drawing.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bluey\u2019s Quest for the Gold Pen<\/em>, designed for kids 7 and up, features the original voice actors from the series. The soundtrack has been composed and produced in-house by Halfbrick in close collaboration with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios.<\/p>\n<p>The game will launch globally on December 11, exclusively on the App Store for iPhones, iPads and Macs. It will then become available on Google Play on January 10 and offer a free experience of the game, with an optional one-off payment to unlock all levels. Halfbrick, in partnership with PM Studios, will also be bringing the game to PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Bluey<\/em> has always been about turning small moments into big adventures,\u201d Brumm said. \u201cWriting <em>Bluey\u2019s Quest for the Gold Pen<\/em> and seeing the game come to life has been a lot of fun, and I\u2019m excited for families to play and experience the world of Bluey in a way that only imagination can make possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to make something that kids and families will remember as one of their favorite games of all time,\u201d commented Shainiel Deo, CEO of Halfbrick Studios. \u201cJoe and I have been friends for years, and that closeness made it easy to create something authentic to <em>Bluey<\/em> while aiming for the kind of timeless fun we all remember from classic games.
