After ten years, TV Asahi\u2019s Doraemon<\/em> will be returning with a new French-dubbed season in France on October 3 on YouTube, followed by Anime Digital Network, Prime Video, Pluto TV and more.<\/p>\n

The dubbing voice cast includes Emmanuel Curtil, known as the official French voice of Jim Carrey, and Brigitte Lecordier, known for voicing Son Goku in Dragon Ball. Brigitte Lecordier serves as the dubbing co-director alongside Louis Lecordier. Curtil and Brigitte Lecordier will be attending MIPCOM to share behind-the-scenes insights and discuss the show\u2019s revival in France.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have always felt that Japan and France share a deep cultural affinity,\u201d said Maiko Sumida, head of animation sales and development at TV Asahi. \u201cWe are truly delighted to bring Doraemon<\/em>\u2014one of Japan\u2019s most cherished animation series\u2014back to France with a wonderful cast and a fresh new dub.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doraemon<\/em> began as a manga series in 1970 and first aired in Japan in 1979. Now, there are over 2,000 episodes of the series, which follows the adventures of a time-traveling robotic cat who helps a young boy navigate life\u2019s ups and downs.<\/p>\n

Paris-based distributor Soupir is handling distribution of the French-dubbed episodes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hadn\u2019t come across Doraemon<\/em> before, but I had the pleasure of dubbing it alongside my long-time friend and collaborator, Brigitte Lecordier,\u201d Curtil said. \u201cI am very happy to bring this cheerful and intrepid little hero to life in these incredible adventures!\u201d<\/p>\n

Brigitte Lecordier commented, \u201cDoraemon<\/em> was already a legendary figure throughout the world of animation when I started out in dubbing! I feel so lucky to work on this anime, playing Nobita Nobi, best mate of the legendary blue cat with all his magic gadgets, played by my friend Emmanuel Curtil, in an adventure as incredible as it is funny.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are truly honored to be working on such an iconic series,\u201d added Charles Courcier, founder of Soupir. \u201cWe are doing everything in our power to help Doraemon<\/em> become as beloved in France as it is around the world.
