PBS KIDS has launched the digital gameplay series Odd Squad Gaming Unit<\/em>, hosted by two agents from the Odd Squad<\/em> universe.<\/p>\n

From Fred Rogers Productions and Sinking Ship Entertainment, Odd Squad Gaming Unit<\/em> is a partially scripted gameplay series that sees Oaklynn and Olindo of Odd Squad<\/em> communicate through video chat windows to help each other get the most out of educational games from the PBS KIDS library.<\/p>\n

The series is designed with learning benefits in mind, teaching the fundamentals of problem-solving with each game played. It also features a rotating lineup of PBS KIDS games that support different skills, from literacy to science to life skills. The games come from series such as Wild Kratts<\/em>, Arthur<\/em>, Lyla in the Loop<\/em> and more.<\/p>\n

The new show comes after PBS KIDS\u2019 recent launch of a YouTube channel dedicated to gaming, in response to the fact that 50 percent of PBS KIDS viewers ages 3 to 8 watch gameplay videos. PBS KIDS\u2019 educational gaming library averages 43 million games played on the website and 44 million games played on the PBS KIDS Games app each month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
