Konami Cross Media NY has announced a new collaboration with Nike for Yu-Gi-Oh!<\/em>, available September 12.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe passion, care and attention to detail Nike brought to this Yu-Gi-Oh!<\/em> collaboration has been extraordinary,\u201d said Jennifer Coleman, senior VP of licensing and marketing for Konami Cross Media NY. \u201cTheir unique vision of Yu-Gi-Oh!<\/em> characters and fans as athletes\u2014combined with Nike\u2019s iconic marketing, footwear and apparel design\u2014will redefine how our audience connects with their favorite characters, especially Joey Wheeler.\u201d<\/p>\n

The collection features the Nike Air Max 95 QS YGO, which replicates the original vision seen in Kazuki Takahashi’s Yu-Gi-Oh!<\/em> and is joined by a complementary apparel collection. The campaign pays homage to the Yu-Gi-Oh!<\/em> universe, featuring the anime series\u2019 original English and Japanese voice actors in a trailer debuting the footwear.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Nike, we believe the future of sport is creative and unlimited in possibility, and we know that athletes draw inspiration from extraordinary sources in the video games they play and the anime they watch,\u201d said Dave Vericker, senior director of neighborhood merchandise. \u201cWe didn\u2019t invent this lore; it was born organically from the community. Through our partnership with Konami, we wanted to show love to longtime fans and inspire the next generation by bringing a beloved, mythical story to life through design with these special Air Max 95s and a limited apparel collection.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Nike Air Max 95 QS YGO and apparel will be available globally in the \u201cJoey\u201d colorway on September 12 at SNKRS and select Nike retail partners.
