C\u00fala4\/TG4 in Ireland and S4C in Wales have commissioned a second season of L\u00ed Ban<\/em> from Paper Owl Films.<\/p>\n

The Celtic-inspired series centers on L\u00ed Ban\u2019s quest for answers in an ancient world of gods and monsters. The new season sees L\u00ed Ban and Con settled in Manann\u00e1n\u2019s kingdom and getting to know Morveren, Dylan, Manann\u00e1n and B\u00edreog better.<\/p>\n

When L\u00ed Ban and Con overhear that M\u00eddenn is still alive, imprisoned by the evil Balor on an island in otherworldly Annwn, they embark on a mission to free the druid.<\/p>\n

Sadbh Breathnach stars as the voice of L\u00ed Ban, and Jude Petticrew voices Con.<\/p>\n

L\u00ed Ban<\/em> is produced with funding support from Coimisi\u00fan na Me\u00e1n, as well as Northern Ireland Screen\u2019s Screen Fund and Irish Language Broadcast Fund and is being distributed internationally by Aardman.<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e1inne McGuinness, creative director at Paper Owl Films, commented, \u201cWe are so thankful for the continued support from our partners, which is enabling us to make a new series of L\u00ed Ban<\/em>, telling ancient Celtic stories that resonate with children worldwide. The international popularity of anime and fantasy storytelling allows us to tell L\u00ed Ban\u2019s coming-of-age story for a modern audience and her struggle to find out who she is in the world is as real for today\u2019s kids as it was for her centuries ago.\u201d<\/p>\n
