TV Asahi has signed a deal that will see the theatrical release of Shin chan Our Dinosaur Diary<\/em> and Shin chan The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers<\/em> in India via PVR INOX Pictures.<\/p>\n

Shin chan Our Dinosaur Diary<\/em> is set to debut in Indian cinemas in May, while Shin chan The Kasukabe Dancers<\/em> will premiere during the Diwali season in October. Both will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Japanese with English subtitles.<\/p>\n

This marks the first time Shin chan<\/em> movies will be released in theaters in India. The Shin chan<\/em> TV series first premiered in India in 2006 on Hungama TV, airing daily. Since May 2024, Sony Pictures Networks India\u2019s kids\u2019 channel SONY YAY! airs the series.<\/p>\n

Globally, the Shin chan<\/em> TV series has been one of the most top-rated animations for over 30 years, with more than 820 episodes broadcasting in over 45 countries, including Spain, Germany, Portugal, Mexico and Chile.<\/p>\n

To date, 32 Shin chan<\/em> films have been released, taking over $350 million at the Japanese box office.<\/p>\n

We are thrilled that children who are currently watching Shin chan on TV, as well as those who grew up watching it, will be able to enjoy Shin chan’s adventures on the big screen. To enhance the excitement for the Indian audience, we have dubbed the movies into Hindi, Tamil and Telegu.
