{"id":29175,"date":"2025-02-19T10:06:06","date_gmt":"2025-02-19T15:06:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/aardman-teams-with-teddy-mountain-uk-for-gromit-plush\/"},"modified":"2025-02-19T11:47:04","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T16:47:04","slug":"aardman-teams-with-teddy-mountain-uk-for-gromit-plush","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/aardman-teams-with-teddy-mountain-uk-for-gromit-plush\/","title":{"rendered":"Aardman Teams with Teddy Mountain UK for Gromit Plush"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aardman has partnered with Teddy Mountain UK to introduce a Gromit Make-A-Bear plush in the U.K. market on April 25.<\/p>\n<p>Licensed from Aardman\u2019s long-running <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit<\/em> franchise, the new Gromit plush comes after the success of Teddy Mountain UK\u2019s 2024 release of a Shaun the Sheep plush.<\/p>\n<p>Aardman recently won two BAFTA awards for animated film and children\u2019s and family film and has received a 2025 Academy Award nomination for best animated feature for <em>Wallace &amp; Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Since Nick Park introduced the Wallace and Gromit characters in 1989\u2019s Academy Award-nominated <em>A Grand Day Out<\/em>, the duo have appeared in four other films, including <em>The Wrong Trousers<\/em>, which won 13 awards, including the Academy Award for animated short film.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hugely successful release of our Shaun the Sheep Make-A-Bear plush underscores our winning strategy of licensing high-profile IP, led by these wonderful Aardman characters,\u201d said Ryan Davies, director of Teddy Mountain UK. \u201cGromit is a British national treasure, and we are thrilled to welcome him into the Teddy Mountain family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hannah McFarlane, licensing manager at Aardman, added, \u201cTeddy Mountain continues to lead the way in delivering the ultimate Make-A-Bear experience, and we\u2019re thrilled to see Gromit join the plush family alongside Shaun the Sheep.
