Blue Ant Studios and Stretchy have begun production on the animated series Tralala<\/em>, created, written and directed by Harry Sinclair (Kiri and Lou<\/em>), for CBC and Sky NZ.<\/p>\n

The series centers on the titular frog, an inventive 7-year-old who lives an idyllic life with her dad in a cozy country cottage where commonplace events turn into whimsical adventures and sing-a-longs.<\/p>\n

Tralala<\/em> is slated for delivery in 2026.<\/p>\n

The production team features Antony Elworthy (Kiri and Lou<\/em>, Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Pinocchio<\/em>, Wes Anderson\u2019s Isle of Dogs<\/em>). Julianna Cox (Coraline<\/em>, Creature Comforts<\/em>, Shaun the Sheep<\/em>) is animation director. New Zealand songwriter and musician Don McGlashan is the songwriter and composer.<\/p>\n

Executive producers are Mark J.W. Bishop, Matthew Hornburg, Diane Rankin, AJ Trauth and Donna Luke are executive producers for Blue Ant Studios. Sinclair and Fiona Copland are executive producers for Stretchy.<\/p>\n

Tralala<\/em> is being produced with support from the Shaw Rocket Fund, The Independent Production Fund\u2019s Cogeco TV Production Program, the Canada Media Fund and NZ On Air.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy colleague AJ Trauth discovered this delightful project at Kidscreen 2024, and we were immediately taken with its charm,\u201d said Rankin, executive VP of content development and commercial strategy at Blue Ant Studios. \u201cPlayful, original and inclusive kids programming, like Tralala<\/em>, is very much heartland territory for our kids, family and YA division, and we are so excited to be in production with Stretchy and our commissioning partners at CBC and Sky NZ.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trauth, VP of development fork ids, family and YA at Blue Ant Studios, commented, \u201cIn Tralala<\/em>, Harry Sinclair has used his personal experiences as a dad to celebrate the bond between parent and child, while creating a warm and reassuring place that preschoolers will want to keep returning to. We are thrilled to now be in production, and as this magical world starts to come alive, we are excited to share it with other potential partners around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
