Celebrity special guests include Rene\u00e9 Rapp, Michael B. Jordan, Samara Joy, Noah Kahan, SZA and more.<\/p>\n<p>Additional guests who will make appearances are Chris Stapleton, Jonathan Van Ness and Billie Jean King.<\/p>\n<p>In the debut episode, \u201cBeachball Bop,\u201d Elmo learns how to do volcano breaths after he feels angry. Rapp makes an appearance as well.<\/p>\n<p>Also this season, Mecha Elmo, Mecha Cookie and Mecha Abby make their <em>Sesame Street<\/em> debut as Mecha Builders shorts air within selected episodes. <em>Sesame Street Nature Explorers<\/em> shorts will also air.<\/p>\n<p>Season 55 will be available on local PBS stations across the U.S. and on the free PBS KIDS Video app in fall 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew episodes of <em>Sesame Street<\/em> will help young viewers understand and express their feelings, learn new mindfulness practices and, as always, have a blast with their favorite furry and funny friends,\u201d said Sal Perez, executive producer of <em>Sesame Street<\/em>. \u201cWhether it\u2019s taking a volcano breath when angry, learning to give yourself a hug when frustrated or wiggling it out when disappointed, we are empowering children with the strategies to help build resiliency and the foundational skills for emotional well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis season\u2019s emotional well-being curriculum was developed in response to the growing mental health crisis affecting children globally,\u201d noted Dr. Rosemarie Truglio, Sesame Workshop\u2019s senior VP of curriculum and content. \u201cFocusing on emotion awareness and social connection skills, children will learn that all feelings are important and that we all experience big feelings, as well as how to navigate social scenarios with friends, families and the wider community.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Season 55 of Sesame Workshop\u2019s Sesame Street is slated to premiere on Max on January 16, with new episodes releasing every Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1412,"featured_media":28910,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pmpro_default_level":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[21],"tags":[7639,8862,10408,635,518],"class_list":["post-28908","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-top-stories","tag-max","tag-rosemarie-truglio","tag-sal-perez","tag-sesame-street","tag-sesame-workshop","pmpro-has-access"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
