Toon2Tango and Odeon Film have partnered to co-produce Paluten Freedom<\/em>, an animated film based on the web video series of the same name.<\/p>\n

The IP, created by German social media star Paluten, whose real name is Patrick Mayer, follows the adventures of characters such as Paluten, Pig Edgar, Professor Duck, Captain Greasepants and more. The film is set for theatrical release in 2027.<\/p>\n

The Paluten Freedom<\/em> IP includes the YouTube series, a nine-volume book series and a comic. Mayer and Klaas Kern, who previously collaborated on the book series, are developing the screenplay for the film together.<\/p>\n

Mayer\u2019s Paluten YouTube channel launched in 2012 and now has over 5.46 million subscribers and over 5.4 billion views. His second channel, Team Paluten, currently has 1.62 million subscribers and over 823 million views.<\/p>\n

LEONINE Studios will handle theatrical distribution of the film.<\/p>\n

Mayer commented, \u201cIn 2012, I started with Minecraft videos on a small monitor and now I\u2019ve got something on the big screen! No joke, if someone had told me that back then, I would have taken them straight to hospital! It\u2019s still just as incredible to me today that nine volumes of Paluten Freedom<\/em> have now been published. So, if you see someone in the cinema with a little tear in their eye, it could be me. Because Freedom<\/em> has become so much more than \u2018just\u2019 a story. I met many of my best friends in the early days. When the book series started, I met my wife, and now that I\u2019m a father, the Freedom<\/em> film project is starting. An incredible journey. I\u2019m very happy and grateful for everything I\u2019ve been able to build over the last few years through the overwhelming support of my community. A cinema film, people! UN-BELIE-VABLE!\u201d<\/p>\n
