Lucy Markovich and Peter Divers have launched Elysium Studios, a collaborative, full-service creative hub, in Australia.<\/p>\n
With studio operations in Gold Coast and an office in Brisbane, Elysium\u2019s core focus is on virtual productions, real-time 3D animation, motion capture, VFX and XR. Markovich is serving as CEO, and Divers is chief content officer and head of VFX.<\/p>\n
Elysium will also offer a full production and postproduction service that aims to be accessible, fast and financially efficient from development through to screen. It is currently working on several projects with Queensland-based producers, developing its own slate of kids\u2019 and family live-action and animation IP and actively working on global co-production partnerships.<\/p>\n
Recently, Elysium delivered virtual production camera tracking for Bronte Pictures\u2019 feature film Beast of War<\/em>, and is developing two co-productions with Ireland\u2019s Tri Moon Films.<\/p>\n Markovich and Divers are joined by Dr. Jordan Beth Vincent as chief operating officer and Hugh Frames as chief financial officer.<\/p>\n Markovich has over 30 years of experience in the industry and previously served as executive producer at Collider, Luminous Pictures and Chop Shop Post. At the latter, she oversaw the postproduction and delivery of Bluey<\/em> for Ludo Studio, as well as a slate of animated features for Universal Studios and creature features for Altitude.<\/p>\n Divers has over 20 years of experience working across projects such as Wonder Woman<\/em>, Kingsman 2<\/em>, Alien: Covenant<\/em>, The Hobbit<\/em> trilogy and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes<\/em>. He was the co-founder of Fika Entertainment and creator of Deakin University, Deakin Motion Lab\u2019s real-time animation and VFX pipeline, the creator of Fika\u2019s proprietary workflow systems.<\/p>\n Vincent directed research at Deakin Motion Lab and was the co-founder of Fika Entertainment. She developed the process behind the Fika pipeline, focusing on research commercialization and industry development, and was the postproduction producer on two seasons of Teletubbies Go!<\/em> for WildBrain and Mattel\u2019s American Girl<\/em> series, as well as projects for Coolabi, Hasbro Entertainment and the ABC.<\/p>\n Frames was previously chief operating officer at BPay Group and held various positions in Sony across Europe and ANZ.<\/p>\n \u201cElysium is a genuinely unique and evolutionary studio, putting technological advancement at the core of creating and telling stories across both animation and live action,\u201d Markovich said. \u201cAs well as working with global companies across the TV and film landscapes on all elements of their animation and VFX, we are excited to be working on our own slate of IP of kids and family projects and extending our co-production partnerships.
