Mattel has tapped Activision Blizzard alum Ken Wee as executive VP and chief strategy officer to oversee all aspects of strategic planning and corporate development.<\/p>\n

Previously, Wee was the chief strategy officer of Activision Blizzard, where he helped grow the reach, engagement and commercial success of its portfolio of video game franchises, culminating in Microsoft\u2019s $69 billion acquisition of the company.<\/p>\n

Prior to that, Wee was a partner at the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. He led the interactive entertainment practice and served clients in media, technology and private equity globally across a range of topics.<\/p>\n

In his new role, Wee is based at Mattel\u2019s global headquarters in El Segundo, California, and reports to Ynon Kreiz, chairman and CEO.<\/p>\n
