It is aimed at the 6-to-11 demo.<\/p>\n<p>The show will display Maya\u2019s resilience and altruism as she deals with the unknown far from home.<\/p>\n<p><em>20 Dance Street<\/em> will be distributed internationally by Federation Kids &amp; Family and ZDF Studios. France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions came on board as a presale. The series has also presold to RTBF in Belgium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s such a pleasure to have joined forces with ZDF and France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions on yet another exciting series,\u201d said David Michel, C\u00e9cile Laurenson and Zo\u00e9 Carrera Allaix, co-founders of Cottonwood Media. \u201cWe believe <em>20 Dance Street<\/em> will strike a universal chord with kids as our resilient main character has overcome many ordeals in life, yet is still exemplary of a young person who takes everything in her stride. As the story evolves, many relatable themes unfold such as friendship, abandonment, joys of life, betrayal and more that will have viewers hooked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to be part of this new, exciting and deeply moving ballet adventure\u2014once again collaborating with Cottonwood and ZDF Studios,\u201d commented Nicole Keeb, head of international co-productions and acquisitions for children and youth programs at ZDF. \u201cFollowing the success of <em>Find Me in Paris<\/em> and <em>Spellbound<\/em>, our high-profile live-action series, we felt it was time to explore the world of ballet through animation, reaching a slightly younger audience. Et voil\u00e0!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arne Lohmann, VP Junior at ZDF Studios, added, \u201cWe were immediately captivated by the story of Maya and her friends and by how Elizabeth Barf\u00e9ty\u2019s books will be adapted for the screen.
