{"id":28157,"date":"2024-08-28T09:47:54","date_gmt":"2024-08-28T13:47:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/canal-commissions-max-rabbit\/"},"modified":"2024-08-28T09:47:57","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T13:47:57","slug":"canal-commissions-max-rabbit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/canal-commissions-max-rabbit\/","title":{"rendered":"CANAL+ Commissions Max &#038; Rabbit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dandelooo has been commissioned to produce the new 2D animated series <em>Max &amp; Rabbit<\/em> (<em>Max &amp; Lapin<\/em>) for CANAL+.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the books by French author Astrid Desbordes, the show will follow the titular duo as they encounter daily situations and deal with their emotions, teaching children how to listen, accept, verbalize and find fun solutions for every little problem they may encounter.<\/p>\n<p>Production will commence with Dandelooo\u2019s Ooolala in September 2024. It is being directed by Cl\u00e9ment C\u00e9ard and is set for delivery in Q4 2025. Dandelooo will handle worldwide distribution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this new commission, we are thrilled to continue the creative collaboration for this beautiful IP with Nathalie Leffray and Christine Cauquelin from CANAL+, building on the great teamwork established during the production of the serialized fantasy series<em> The Upside Down River<\/em>,\u201d said Emmanu\u00e8le P\u00e9try, producer and head of international at Dandelooo.<\/p>\n<p>Christine Cauquelin, director of programs and channels for documentaries, youth and animation at CANAL+, added, \u201cCANAL+ is thrilled to start a new collaboration with the Dandelooo team. The <em>Max &amp; Lapin<\/em> books by Astrid Desbordes and Pauline Martin have conquered our hearts thanks to their modern look, the soft tongue in cheek tone which brings humor. We believe the series will fully match our desire to tell stories to the youngest because the characters are kind, smart and a bit mischievous.
