{"id":27720,"date":"2024-06-06T10:25:35","date_gmt":"2024-06-06T14:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/wildbrain-inks-new-deals-in-china\/"},"modified":"2024-06-06T11:03:35","modified_gmt":"2024-06-06T15:03:35","slug":"wildbrain-inks-new-deals-in-china-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/wildbrain-inks-new-deals-in-china-2\/","title":{"rendered":"WildBrain Inks New Deals in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WildBrain has closed a slate of content distribution deals across China for properties such as <em>Teletubbies<\/em>, <em>Strawberry Shortcake<\/em> and <em>Caillou<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the expanding presence of the Teletubbies in the Chinese market, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po were invited to perform on China\u2019s national broadcaster CCTV\u2019s International Children\u2019s Day gala on June 1. The original classic live-action <em>Teletubbies<\/em> series has been acquired by iQIYI, Huashi, bilibili, Senyu, Youku and Dreamers Tech.<\/p>\n<p>Huashi has also picked up <em>Teletubbies\u2013Nursery Rhymes<\/em>, a collection of eleven 2D digital animated 2-minute shorts. In further deals, the CG-animated series <em>Teletubbies Let\u2019s Go!<\/em>\u00a0has sold to iQIYI, Youku and bilibili.<\/p>\n<p><em>Strawberry Shortcake<\/em> is also bolstering its presence in China with sales of the brand\u2019s new CG-animated seasonal family specials to Youku and JY, with the latter also taking the 2D-animated <em>Strawberry Shortcake Berry in the Big City<\/em>, <em>Berry Bitty Adventures<\/em>\u00a0and the classic <em>Strawberry Shortcake<\/em> series.<\/p>\n<p>iQIYI and Senyu have picked up the most recent CG-animated <em>Caillou<\/em> series, five new CG-animated family specials and seasons three through five of the digital-first series <em>Caillou\u2019s New Adventures<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Max Tang, WildBrain\u2019s senior manager of content partnership in the Asia Pacific territory, said: \u201cThese partnerships across our portfolio highlight the continued demand in China for our known IP and the enduring popularity of these recognizable brands.
