Annecy Festival, running from June 9 to 15, has revealed the films that have been selected to feature in the competition, Annecy Presents and screening events.<\/p>\n
Out of 100 films submitted for the official selection, 23 were chosen, hailing from around the world. This includes titles from Japan, France, Luxembourg, Spain, Australia, Switzerland, the Philippines, Pakistan and many more.<\/p>\n
The official competition selection includes Ghost Cat Anzu<\/em> (Japan, France); Into the Wonderwoods<\/em> (Dans la for\u00eat sombre et myst\u00e9rieuse<\/em>) (France, Luxembourg); Flow<\/em> (Latvia, Belgium, France); The Colors Within<\/em> (KIMINOIRO<\/em>) (Japan); Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window<\/em> (Madogiwa no Totto-cha<\/em>) (Japan); Memoir of a Snail<\/em> (Australia); Rock Bottom<\/em> (Spain, Poland); Sauvages !<\/em> (Switzerland); A Boat in the Garden<\/em> (Slocum et moi<\/em>) (France); The Imaginary<\/em> (Japan); The Storm<\/em> (China); and The Most Precious of Cargoes<\/em> (Belgium, France).<\/p>\n Titles included in the Contrechamp competition are Sultana\u2019s Dream<\/em> (El sue\u00f1o de la sultana<\/em>) (Spain); Gill<\/em> (South Korea); The Missing<\/em> (Iti Mapukpukaw<\/em>) (Philippines); Living Large<\/em> (Czech Republic); Black Butterflies<\/em> (Mariposas negras<\/em>) (Spain, Panama); Our Crazy Love<\/em> (Brazil); Pelikan Blue<\/em> (Hungary); Journey of Shadows<\/em> (Reise der Schatten<\/em>) (Switzerland); Sunburnt Unicorn<\/em> (Canada); The Birth of Kitaro: The Mystery of Gegege<\/em> (Japan); and The Glassworker<\/em> (Pakistan).<\/p>\n The Annecy Presents screenings will feature Buffalo Kids<\/em> (Spain); Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram<\/em> (Meitantei Conan : 100-man Dollar no Michishirube<\/em>) (Japan); Diplodocus<\/em> (Diplodok<\/em>) (Poland); Extinction<\/em> (Malaysia<\/em>); Fox and Hare Save the Forest<\/em> (Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium); Give It All<\/em> (Japan); The Garfield Movie<\/em> (U.S.); Christmas Tales of Christmas Magic<\/em> (France, Germany); Out of the Nest<\/em> (Thailand, China); Sand Land<\/em> (Japan); The Sloth Lane<\/em> (Australia); and The Worlds Divide<\/em> (Canada).<\/p>\n Screening events will be held throughout the festival, beginning with The Most Precious of Cargoes<\/em> by Michel Hazanavicius, airing on June 9. On June 10, a sneak preview of Transformers One<\/em>, directed by Josh Cooley and produced by Paramount Animation, will screen. June 11 will see first looks at The Wild Robot,<\/em> directed by Chris Sanders and produced by DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures, and Asterix and the Big Fight<\/em> by Alain Chabat, in his presence.<\/p>\n On June 13, there will be a panel on Transformers One, a presentation on the making of Netflix\u2019s Ultraman: Rising<\/em> and a master class by Wes Anderson. June 14 will include first looks at Inside Out 2<\/em>, directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures, and Moana 2<\/em>, directed by Dave Derrick Jr. and Jason Hand and produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, as well as a special screening of Despicable Me 4<\/em>.
