{"id":25928,"date":"2023-10-03T07:58:14","date_gmt":"2023-10-03T11:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/dandelooo-distribute-great-white-north\/"},"modified":"2023-10-03T07:58:14","modified_gmt":"2023-10-03T11:58:14","slug":"dandelooo-to-distribute-the-great-white-north","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/dandelooo-to-distribute-the-great-white-north\/","title":{"rendered":"Dandelooo to Distribute The Great White North"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dandelooo has signed a distribution agreement with Canada&#8217;s Tobo Media for the animated winter special <em>The Great White North<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The 2D special, targeted at 6- to 9-year-olds, follows the journey of 7-year-old Dounia and her grandparents, who were forced to leave Syria, as they find a new home and new friends in picturesque Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement gives Dandelooo exclusive worldwide distribution rights, excluding French-speaking territories, for <em>The Great White North<\/em>, a sequel to the miniseries and special <em>Dounia<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Great White North<\/em> is directed by Andr\u00e9 Kadi, produced by Tobo Media and Du Coup Productions and created by Marya Zarif.<\/p>\n<p>Emmanu\u00e8le Petry, producer and head of international at Dandelooo, said, \u201c<em>The Great White North<\/em> is a beautiful resilience story about integrating into a new home. Today, the terrifying news about wars and populations fleeing their countries creates anxiety in most children, so we are proud to show an optimistic take on how some people can overcome these terrible challenges in this wonderful second Special.
