{"id":25888,"date":"2023-09-28T09:54:16","date_gmt":"2023-09-28T13:54:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/mattel-films-ups-robbie-brenner-president\/"},"modified":"2023-09-28T09:54:16","modified_gmt":"2023-09-28T13:54:16","slug":"mattel-films-ups-robbie-brenner-to-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/mattel-films-ups-robbie-brenner-to-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Mattel Films Ups Robbie Brenner to President"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Robbie Brenner has been promoted to president of Mattel Films after serving as executive producer since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Brenner produced the company\u2019s record-breaking <em>Barbie<\/em> movie, which became the highest grossing film of the year after its release this past July.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the <em>Barbie<\/em> movie, Mattel Films has 14 live-action movies in active development, including <em>American Girl<\/em>, <em>Barney<\/em>, <em>Hot Wheels<\/em>, <em>Magic 8 Ball<\/em>, <em>Matchbox<\/em>, <em>Major Matt Mason<\/em>, <em>Masters of the Universe<\/em>, <em>Polly Pocket<\/em>, <em>Rock \u2019Em Sock \u2019Em Robots<\/em>, <em>Thomas &amp; Friends<\/em>, <em>UNO<\/em>, <em>View-Master<\/em> and <em>Wishbone<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Mattel, Brenner was an independent producer. She earned an Academy Award nomination in 2013 for <em>Dallas Buyers Club<\/em>. She also produced <em>Call Jane<\/em>, <em>The In Between<\/em> and <em>Burden<\/em>. Before that, she served as president of production at Relativity and was integral to the studio\u2019s acquisition of the Sundance documentary <em>Catfish<\/em>.
