Companies from Portugal and France have been recognized with the Cartoon Forum Tributes awards.<\/p>\n

The set of awards is given annually in acknowledgment of the outstanding work of broadcasters, investors\/distributors and producers in the promotion and development of European animation. The Broadcaster of the Year Tribute went to Portugal\u2019s RTP – R\u00e1dio e Televis\u00e3o de Portugal, while the Producer and Distributor of the Year Tributes were awarded respectively to France’s GO-N Productions and APC Kids.<\/p>\n

Winners were voted by the 1,051 professionals from 37 countries attending Cartoon Forum in Toulouse.<\/p>\n

Public broadcaster RTP offers content aimed at preschoolers and children under Zig Zag, a programming block broadcast daily through RTP\u2019s free-to-air channels and streaming platform Zig Zag Play. Largely focused on European content, RTP also plays an active role as co-producer in series developed by Portuguese animation studios such as Mr. Passenger<\/em>, Crias<\/em>\u00a0and duArte, a Piece of Art<\/em>.<\/p>\n

APC Kids is the children\u2019s entertainment arm of the co-production and distribution company APC Studios. The company has a growing portfolio of children\u2019s and family properties including the animated series Kid-E-Cats<\/em>, DinoCity<\/em>, Galactic Agency<\/em>, Jade Armor<\/em> and Tinka<\/em>, which have been broadcast in more than a hundred countries worldwide.<\/p>\n

Paris-based animation producer and distributor GO-N Productions is known for both its own productions and its co-productions with partners worldwide. Simon Super Rabbit<\/em>, Zip Zip<\/em> and Jasmin\u2019s World<\/em> are some of the works by this company, which this year presented its latest series at Cartoon Forum, entitled Annette, Apprentice Witch<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Companies from Germany, Belgium, Spain, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania and the U.K. were also shortlisted for the Tributes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
