The voice cast includes Sophie Okonedo (<em>Hotel Rwanda<\/em>, <em>Christopher Robin<\/em>, <em>His Dark Materials<\/em>), Ardal O\u2019Hanlon (<em>Derry Girls<\/em>, <em>Father Ted<\/em>), Aisling Doyle (<em>Mr. Malcolm\u2019s List<\/em>) and Michael McElhatton (<em>Game of Thrones<\/em>, <em>Zack Snyder\u2019s Justice League<\/em>, <em>The Alienist<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><em>The Ghastly Ghoul<\/em> is a Dream Logic Animation Studios and Lupus Films production in association with Sky, F\u00eds \u00c9ireann\/Screen Ireland, KiKA of ARD\/ZDF Germany and UK Global Screen Fund\u2014financed by the UK Government\u2019s Department for Culture, Media and Sport and administered by the BFI\u2014with the support of the Creative Europe Programme MEDIA of the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>Lupus Films and Dream Logic Animation Studios appointed Serious Kids to distribute the project.<\/p>\n<p>Since the last news of the first raft of European sales to Canal+ and KMBO for pay, VOD and theatrical rights for France, YLE Finland, DR Denmark and SVT Sweden, distributor Serious Kids has also inked further deals with TVO and Telequebec in Canada, TVNZ, PCCW Hong Kong, RTBF, Belgium, RTS, Switzerland, LRT Lithuania, RTV Slovakia, RTP Portugal and NRK Norway.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to a number of nominations and wins in Ireland at the RTS, Celtic Media Festival and Animation Awards, <em>The Ghastly Ghoul<\/em> won the prize for the best animation short at the Giffoni Festival in Italy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The animated Halloween special The Ghastly Ghoul is set to debut in the U.S. on Disney Channel on October 1 and Disney XD on October 23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3087,"featured_media":25826,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pmpro_default_level":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[21],"tags":[111,169,7718,8375,1210,6163,7586],"class_list":["post-25825","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-top-stories","tag-disney-channel","tag-disney-xd","tag-dream-logic-animation-studios","tag-halloween","tag-lupus-films","tag-serious-kids","tag-the-ghastly-ghoul","pmpro-has-access"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
