The coming-of-age drama centers on six students who meet regularly in a disused boiler room at their school, an abandoned space that becomes their sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>Filming has started on location in and around Coventry, including some of the city\u2019s iconic landmarks and at the former Further Education campus, Henley College.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Muller, senior head of BBC Children\u2019s commissioning for 7-plus, said: \u201c<em>Phoenix Rise<\/em> is strongly rooted in the West Midlands, and so we\u2019re delighted to see the team return to their Coventry production base. It\u2019s a drama which is not afraid to tackle some of the difficult issues that teens face today whilst also capturing the friendships and humor of teen life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Balthazar and Evans commented: \u201c<em>Phoenix Rise<\/em> is back! We couldn\u2019t be more excited to return to Coventry and tell some new and groundbreaking stories for our gang of six outsiders.
