Hasbro has made two senior appointments to its executive leadership team, including Tim Kilpin being named president of toy, licensing and entertainment.<\/p>\n
Kilpin joins Hasbro from PlayMonster Group, where he most recently served as executive chairman since January 2023 and as CEO from January 2022. His background also includes serving as leader of Activision Blizzard\u2019s consumer products business, chief commercial officer for Mattel and executive VP of franchise management at The Walt Disney Company.<\/p>\n
In his new role at Hasbro, Kilpin will report to CEO Chris Cocks and will oversee Hasbro\u2019s consumer products group, with a focus on optimizing the value, relevance and performance of the company\u2019s strategic franchise brands and IP.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Gina Goetter will join as chief financial officer. Goetter was previously at Harley-Davidson, serving as CFO since 2020. Prior to Harley-Davidson, Goetter was senior VP of finance for Tyson Foods\u2019 prepared foods segment and also spent 21 years at General Mills in senior finance roles.<\/p>\n
At Hasbro, Goetter will serve as a strategic partner to Cocks, working alongside him and other senior leaders in executing the company\u2019s Blueprint 2.0, which includes a focus on fewer, bigger brands; gaming; digital; and the company\u2019s growing direct-to-consumer and licensing business, as well as delivering the company\u2019s operational excellence program and associated cost savings. She will also oversee Hasbro\u2019s global business operations as part of her role.<\/p>\n
Current CFO Deborah Thomas, who is retiring, will remain at the company in an advisory role throughout the remainder of the year to ensure a smooth transition.<\/p>\n
