CBC Kids has ordered a second season of V\u00e9rit\u00e9 Films\u2019 musical series Jeremy and Jazzy<\/em>, while Narrative Entertainment picked up season one for Tiny Pop in the U.K.<\/p>\n

Jeremy and Jazzy<\/em> is based on the music of Jeremy Fisher and celebrates feelings, stories and friendship through song. The second season will feature 28 new episodes and will debut in Canada in 2023 and 2024.<\/p>\n

The series is now airing on Tiny Pop in the U.K. and is available to stream on the POP Player. In Canada, season one is available to stream on CBC Gem and the CBC Kids YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

In the coming months, Jeremy and Jazzy Learn<\/em>, a free series of educational resources for children from junior kindergarten to grade two, will become available. Produced by V\u00e9rit\u00e9 Films in association with Jeremy Fisher Music and Sheridan College, the resources are developed with experts in early childhood education. Over 90 activities will be available, with more added every week.<\/p>\n

Jeremy and Jazzy<\/em>, created by Fisher, Robert de Lint, Mike \u201cParkside\u201d Renaud and Virginia Thompson, is produced by V\u00e9rit\u00e9 Films in association with Jeremy Fisher Music and Hidden Pony Records. Animation is provided by V\u00e9rit\u00e9 Films and Smiley Guy Studios, with digital production by V\u00e9rit\u00e9 Films and Stitch Media. The series received support from the CBC, the Canada Media Fund, the Shaw Rocket Fund, the Kids Digital Animated Series Program, Ontario Creates, FACTOR and the Canadian Film or Television Tax Credit.<\/p>\n

Bejuba! Entertainment and V\u00e9rit\u00e9 Films International distribute the series worldwide.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re so happy to be partnering with Narrative Entertainment to bring Jeremy and Jazzy<\/em> to kids across the U.K. on Tiny POP,\u201d said Thompson, president of V\u00e9rit\u00e9 Films and co-creator and executive producer of the series.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve had so much fun working with Jeremy and the team on the music, designing the character of Jazzy (I\u2019m in love with her hair!) and reconnecting with my inner child in the process,\u201d said Aiza Ntibarikure. \u201cThe message this project communicates to children and families is about the power of friendship and music.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the pandemic, I spent a lot of time writing songs with and for my kids as we navigated lockdowns, virtual school and, simply, childhood,\u201d Fisher said. \u201cI captured small moments in scratchy voice memos, which grew into a collection of dozens of songs. To see them receive this kind of a response is so incredibly gratifying.\u201d<\/p>\n
