Canela Media has launched a stand-alone Canela Kids mobile app featuring over 3,000 hours of children\u2019s programming in Spanish.<\/p>\n
Canela Kids offers content from hit brands such as CoComelon, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Garfield and more. The app has seven channels with more than 40 new titles, including exclusive premieres, originals and co-productions.<\/p>\n
The seven channels are Canela Kids; Planeta De Aventuras, for 5- to 7-year-olds interested in adventure and exploration; Zona De Acci\u00f3n, with action-packed, fast-moving shows; \u00a1Haz Clic!, for tweens ages 9 to 12; Moonbug Kids, featuring titles such as CoComelon<\/em>, Blippi<\/em>, Little Baby Bum<\/em>, My Magic Pet Morphle<\/em>, T-Rex Ranch<\/em>, Gecko’s Garage<\/em>, ARPO<\/em> and more; Mundo Peque\u00f1o, a channel for preschoolers, featuring series such as Pocoyo<\/em>, Rainbow Ruby<\/em>, Robocar Poli<\/em> and RAGGS<\/em>; and Cine Kids, with movies for all ages.<\/p>\n New titles premiering on Canela Kids are various Mattel franchises, including American Girl<\/em>, Barbie Dreamtopia<\/em>, Monster High<\/em>, Thomas and Friends<\/em>, Hot Wheels<\/em>, Enchantimals<\/em> and more; Bajillionaires<\/em>, debuting for the first time in Spanish; Heidi, bienvenida a casa<\/em>; Heidi, bienvenida al show<\/em>, available for the first time for U.S. and Latin American audiences; Nina y Olga<\/em>; season two of Club Mundo Kids<\/em>; Total Drama<\/em>; Angry Birds<\/em>; and the complete Air Bud<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n Also featured at launch is the Canela Kids Dance Challenge, where parents can submit videos of their children\u2019s best dance moves for a chance to be featured on the app.<\/p>\n \u201cCanela Kids was created with the aim to provide Latino parents with content in Spanish that is both entertaining and fun for their kids and, at the same time, a vehicle to preserve their language and culture,\u201d said Isabel Rafferty Zavala, co-founder and CEO of Canela Media. \u201cAs a Latina mother that is proud of our roots, this project is very meaningful for my own family, and it is my personal hope that Canela Kids will be equally meaningful for all Latino families who want to retain their language, learn more about our culture and have an impact in the future of building a more equitable U.S. We have carefully curated all the content available on the app to provide the best experience for children in Spanish, and we are incredibly proud to launch the Canela Kids App with the advertising support of some major brands, including Mattel.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCanela Kids is perfect for families on the go, designed specifically for the modern digital kid and Hispanic parents,\u201d added Maggie Salas-Amaro, director of Canela Kids. \u201cWe created the Canela Kids app to reflect today\u2019s consumption habits for kids.
