Sky Kids, the new Sky TV channel launching on February 13, has revealed that its lineup features seven originals, including shows such as Mittens and Pants<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Narrated by Marcus Bentley (Big Brother<\/em>), the series follows the adventures of live-action shy kitten Mittens and her energetic puppy friend Pants as they explore the world of Kibble Corner and learn that being different is a good thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cViewers won\u2019t be barking up the wrong tree watching this new show, packed with fluffy animals and adventure,\u201d Bentley said. \u201cThis is the purr-fect combination to keep kids entertained and inspire learning!\u201d<\/p>\n

Also part of the February lineup is My Friend Misty<\/em>, for ages 5 and up, starring the voice of Daisy Haggard (Breeders<\/em>, Back to Life<\/em>). Executive produced by Fearne Cotton, the show sees Misty set out to build kids\u2019 emotional resilience as she pops up with magical visits throughout the show to help children with their feelings.<\/p>\n

Based on Nikki Saunders\u2019 books Eddie\u2019s Stories<\/em>, Ready, Eddie, Go!<\/em>\u00a0sees Eddie, who is autistic, taken step-by-step through new experiences and situations, such as a trip to the barber shop, so that when he encounters this in real life, he\u2019s ready to tackle it. Jodie Whittaker narrates.<\/p>\n

The one-off special Ama\u2019s Story<\/em>, created by a Black British couple of Ghanian and Nigerian heritage, is told through the eyes of 6-year-old Ama, who must decide on her favorite book to take to her school\u2019s book day. Her family helps her realize that she can use her imagination to write her own story, creating her own book full of of her favorite things such as a Kente cloth jacket that reminds her of Ghana. Ama\u2019s talking cat Smokey is voiced by comedian Eddie Kadi.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so special to see positive representation and our family story being bought to screens, to put smiles on the faces of children everywhere and show them that they can do anything they put their minds to,\u201d said creator Cynthia Deluola.<\/p>\n

For ages 2 and up, BooSnoo!<\/em> was developed with support from the National Autistic Society. Those watching follow the journey of a red ball as it moves through fantastic landscapes and machines filled with music, art, space, water and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are supportive of BooSnoo!<\/em>\u2019s ambition to provide a calming yet engaging program for children, including those on the autism spectrum,\u201d the National Autistic Society said. \u201cWe are excited to see the program and the reaction to the show this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also in store for Sky Kids are season two of Mia\u2019s Magic Playground,<\/em> following Mia and her best friends as they return to their imaginary world, and Pooch Mooch<\/em>, which celebrates the special relationship between a child and their dog, seeing life from the dog\u2019s perspective and what they get up to with their young owners.<\/p>\n
