Ellipse Animation has appointed a new director to strengthen its production capacity from its Angoul\u00eame hub.<\/p>\n
Arnaud R\u00e9guillet, an experienced animation professional who has worked in several studios in France and abroad, has been tapped to join Ellipse Animation in the newly created post of director of Ellipse Studio Angoul\u00eame.<\/p>\n
Ellipse Studio Angoul\u00eame is where season two of The Fox-Badger Family<\/em> was produced, and its upcoming slate includes Versailles Unleashed<\/em> for France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions, The Marsupilamis<\/em> for Groupe M6, The Smurfs<\/em> season three for TF1 and Nickelodeon and the feature film Yakari 2<\/em>, which will be presented next March at Cartoon Movie.<\/p>\n In February, Ellipse Studio Angoul\u00eame will be moving into new offices with 660-square-meter floor space and will triple the number of workstations, going from around 50 to 160.<\/p>\n \u201cThis development of our Angoul\u00eame studio is an important step in our strategy,\u201d said Caroline Audebert, managing director of Ellipse Animation. \u201cIt will enable us to make a larger number of productions in parallel and plan more projects. Between Paris and Angouleme, Ellipse Animation now counts 260 seats on-site alone. Furthermore, we can benefit in full from the excellent eco-system set up by P\u00f4le Image Magelis with the combination of studios, service providers and schools.
