ABC Australia and CBC\/Radio-Canada have inked co-production development deals for two projects from the Kindred ABC\/CBC Animation Collaboration initiative.<\/p>\n
The chosen projects were selected from over 180 submissions to the Kindred Animation initiative. The preschool series My Shadow is Pink<\/em>, from Headspinner\/Sticky Pictures and created by Scott Stuart and Ken Cuperus, is one of the selected programs.<\/p>\n The other project is The Eerie Chapters of Chhaya<\/em>, a series for 10- to 14-year-olds that was created by Suren Perera, Georgina Love and Thomas Duncan-Watt.<\/p>\n In addition, ABC and CBC-Radio-Canada have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which was originally signed in June 2019. The renewal will allow them to continue co-developing dramas, comedies, factual content, children\u2019s programs and podcasts.<\/p>\n \u201cI am pleased to continue our successful partnership with the CBC\/Radio-Canada, which has already delivered a range of valuable content to our audiences,\u201d said David Anderson, managing director of ABC. \u201cIn an increasingly crowded international content market, it is vital for public broadcasters to find new ways to deliver our national stories to audiences at home and abroad.\u201d<\/p>\n Catherine Tait, president and CEO of CBC\/Radio-Canada, added, \u201cThis is such a great partnership.
