The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and the BBC have jointly commissioned the new comedy series The Spooky Files<\/em>, which is\u00a0being financed with production investment from Screen Australia and support from VicScreen.<\/p>\n

The show comes from Tony Ayres Productions (TAP) and Megaboom Pictures, the creative teams behind breakout successes Nowhere Boys<\/em> and Hardball<\/em>. The 10×24-minute series is a fun, spooky and adventure-filled look at the universal experience of childhood fears.<\/p>\n

The Spooky Files<\/em> was created by International Emmy Award-winning writers and directors Guy Edmonds and Matt Zeremes. Production is expected to begin in early November 2022, shooting in Victoria. It will air in Australia on ABC ME in 2023 and in the U.K. on CBBC and BBC iPlayer.<\/p>\n

NBCUniversal Global Distribution will manage international sales.<\/p>\n
