{"id":23897,"date":"2022-10-05T09:38:41","date_gmt":"2022-10-05T13:38:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/sandbox-acquires-u-k-kids-subscription-service-toucanbox\/"},"modified":"2022-10-05T12:27:16","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T16:27:16","slug":"sandbox-acquires-u-k-kids-subscription-service-toucanbox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/sandbox-acquires-u-k-kids-subscription-service-toucanbox\/","title":{"rendered":"Sandbox Acquires U.K. Kids Subscription Service toucanBox"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sandbox &amp; Co, the parent company of Hopster, has acquired the U.K.-based children\u2019s educational subscription service toucanBox.<\/p>\n<p>The platform, inspired by Montessori and focused on bolstering STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) skills among kids 3 to 8 via craft materials and activities, will now sit within Sandbox Experiences.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have been big fans of toucanBox and feel it is a perfect complement to our existing range of hands-on educational tools,&#8221; said Bhav Singh, founder and CEO of Sandbox. &#8220;Creativity-filled fun learning is at the heart of what we do, and I can\u2019t wait to start working together on new experiences that will keep our users delighted and entertained.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sandbox Experiences now includes toucanBox alongside the Brazilian children\u2019s book club Leiturinha. Guilherme Martins, who built Leiturinha into Brazil&#8217;s largest kids&#8217; book subscription service, leads Sandbox Experiences as president and is focusing on rolling out new products across a range of additional markets, including the U.S. and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our goal is to deliver fun-filled learning opportunities for children aged 0 to 12 around the world,&#8221; Martins said. &#8220;toucanBox is the perfect extension to our existing offering, and I look forward to collaborating with the team on delivering even more engaging educational opportunities to help improve learning worldwide.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;toucanBox is all about learning through hands-on, fun activities, and we are excited to join forces with Sandbox to accelerate our growth and pursue our mission to unleash children\u2019s creativity,&#8221;
