{"id":23732,"date":"2022-09-07T08:27:22","date_gmt":"2022-09-07T12:27:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/peppa-pig-play-cafe-china\/"},"modified":"2022-09-07T12:56:18","modified_gmt":"2022-09-07T16:56:18","slug":"peppa-pig-play-cafe-in-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/peppa-pig-play-cafe-in-china\/","title":{"rendered":"Peppa Pig Play Caf\u00e9 in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>China Leisure Development has opened the first <em>Peppa Pig<\/em>-themed play caf\u00e9 in Hangzhou Binjiang Yintai Shopping Center.<\/p>\n<p>Peppa Pig Play Caf\u00e9 consists of 1,100 square meters with six immersive <em>Peppa Pig<\/em> settings that integrate themed dining and over a dozen play attractions, targeting kids aged 2 to 5 and their families.<\/p>\n<p>The Play Caf\u00e9 is themed to the preschool IP brand <em>Peppa Pig<\/em>, which is composed of six classic scenes in Peppa&#8217;s world: Potato City, Forest, Grandpa Pig&#8217;s Garden, Rebecca Rabbit&#8217;s Burrow, Train and Peppa Pig\u2019s Family House.<\/p>\n<p>Linda Dong, president of China Leisure, said: \u201cWe are excited to be teaming up with Hasbro to bring the beloved <em>Peppa Pig<\/em> brand to the China market in a Play Caf\u00e9 format. With recent policy changes in the education sector, we see a shift in consumer spending toward kids&#8217; entertainment while shopping malls are looking for replacements for anchors vacated by large education institutions. The Play Caf\u00e9 format, where kids can play while their family members can relax and enjoy a meal, has been growing in popularity, and we see tremendous opportunity in this space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Peppa Pig<\/em> is such an adored brand among preschoolers and their parents, so we are thrilled to be bringing this type of immersive play experience to Peppa fans in China with our partner China Leisure Development,\u201d said Matt Proulx, VP of location-based entertainment at Hasbro. \u201cThe new Peppa Pig Play Caf\u00e9 is going to enable play amongst families all while building memorable dining experiences in the very lovable Peppa way.
