In preparation for children\u2019s return to school, Sky Kids has made two commissions, including the new science and history series The Slow Mo Guys\u2019 Big Adventures<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Presented by YouTube\u2019s The Slow Mo Guys, the series seeks to uncover mysteries from the past and re-create some of history\u2019s most explosive moments. Children will experience adventures with Vikings, space rockets, the Wild West and more.<\/p>\n

Historical animations written by Terry Deary, creator of Horrible Histories<\/em>, will set the scene for the experiments, which are filmed in slow motion. Kids will be able to access tutorials and try out their own experiments at home.<\/p>\n

The Slow Mo Guys\u2019 Big Adventures<\/em> is directed by David Soutar and executive produced by Fulwell 73\u2019s Gabe Turner and Sheldon Lazarus. It is slated to debut on September 1.<\/p>\n

Sky Kids also ordered a second season of MC Grammar\u2019s Wonder Raps<\/em> following the success of season one and MC Grammar\u2019s \u201cWorld Book Day\u201d song, which garnered more than 1.3 million views. The series sees award-winning teacher Jacob Mitchell (MC Grammar) combine subjects with raps, teaching children about the Tudors, oceans, healthy eating and more.<\/p>\n

MC Grammar\u2019s Wonder Raps<\/em> is produced by Monkey, with David Granger serving as executive producer. Nick Withers is series producer. Season two is set to premiere on August 26.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo help kids get excited about learning and feel prepared for the start of term time, we\u2019ve commissioned two new shows for families to enjoy together, bringing learning and entertainment to screens with some of the biggest names kids know and love,\u201d said Lucy Murphy, director of Sky Kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are hugely excited for people to see what brilliant adventures The Slow Mo Guys have been up to in their first TV series,\u201d said Fulwell 73\u2019s Turner. \u201cWe\u2019ve loved being a part of their journey and hope audiences will enjoy this fascinating and fun exploration of science and history.\u201d<\/p>\n

MC Grammar said of his show, \u201cI can\u2019t wait for everyone to see what the second series of Wonder Raps<\/em> has in store. I always have a lot of fun creating and making the songs. I hope they continue to entertain, inspire and empower the young minds that tune in!\u201d<\/p>\n
