PBS KIDS is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Mister Rogers\u2019 Neighborhood<\/em> spin-off Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood<\/em> with a marathon on September 3, leading into the season six premiere on September 5.<\/p>\n

The marathon will showcase ten fan-chosen episodes from over the years. The sixth season will launch with four new episodes showcasing more preschool firsts, including having a new babysitter, going to a sleepover and more.<\/p>\n

The Top 10 Tiger Tales marathon will run on September 3 and 4, with each day ending with reruns of the movies Daniel Tiger Visits a New Neighborhood<\/em> and Won\u2019t You Be Our Neighbor?<\/em> The sixth season will debut its first episode on September 5, with a new episode premiering daily through September 8. The new season will feature 18 30-minute episodes total.<\/p>\n

In addition, several new products will be released at the end of August. Jakks Pacific will release the Cuddle Up Daniel Tiger plush, while Simon & Schuster will release the new board book I Will Always Be Your Friend!<\/em>, written by Angela C. Santomero, the creator of Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood<\/em>. Pact Organic will also be launching Daniel\u2019s Red Sweater, the first time the character\u2019s iconic red sweater will be offered at retail.<\/p>\n

New activities and resources will roll out on the PBS KIDS\u2019 website for the series, and the free PBS KIDS Games app will debut the new Daniel Tiger\u2019s Nature Walk<\/em> game in September.<\/p>\n

Executive producers of Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood<\/em> are Santomero, chief creative officer at 9 Story Media Group; Ellen Doherty chief creative officer at Fred Rogers Productions; and Vince Commisso, president and CEO of 9 Story Media Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince its launch a decade ago, Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood<\/em>, with its iconic strategy songs and gentle life lessons, has become an integral part of life for preschoolers, parents and caregivers,\u201d said Sara DeWitt, senior VP and general manager of PBS KIDS. \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to help children continue to learn and grow alongside their favorite tiger with a whole new season, digital games and more.\u201d<\/p>\n
